There have been many reports on the Yugoslav war in your paper. As someone personally affected by this tragic war, I have found your reports too often present the view of only one side involved in the conflict, Croatian and Muslim.
Suffering of Bosnian Serbs, including hundreds of thousands of displaced persons that fled to Serbia from Croatia is ignored by the U.S. media. We are all disgusted with atrocities and brutality that this war has brought. However, the victims do not deserve to be discriminated on the ethnic or religious basis. The recent slaughter of 1,000 Bosnian Serbs on the soccer field in Odzak was barely mentioned in your paper.
Recent observations of Maj. Gen. L.W. McKenzie, military commander of UN forces in Sarajevo support my impressions. As a close observer, Gen. McKenzie calls for the Muslim and Croatian forces to take responsibility for breaking the cease-fire agreements and prolonging the agony of civilians in Sarajevo.
Taking into account the role in the Tribune has in creating public and also political opinion in this country, I feel that your objectivity will help in finding the right solution to stop the violence. My family, which is ethnically mixed, stands strongly on the side of truth and against this war.
