Timothy Deutschle has been appointed the new fire chief for the Addison Fire Protection District.
Deutschle, 44, has been deputy chief for the last six years and has been with the department since 1971.
Deutschle will assume the job of fire chief on Monday. The position pays $67,000 a year. He will supervise a staff of 51 uniformed firefighters and 6 civilian employees.
