Sidney K. Harris, 84, a retired manager of Carl Fischer Inc. and formerly of Skokie, died Monday in his Wellesley, Mass., home. Mr. Harris, who also owned a home in North Miami Beach, took over as manager of the company, which publishes and sells sheet music as well as musical instruments, after World War II. He and his brother, Irving, succeeded their father as managers of Carl Fischer, 312 S. Wabash Ave., which also has offices in Boston and New York. He retired in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Muriel; two daughters, Evvajean Mintz and Caredith Gillis; a brother; a sister; and five grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday in Brookline, Mass.
