William H. Taylor, 77, a longtime City of Chicago employee, died Monday at the Bohemian Home for the Aged. Mr. Taylor, a World War II veteran, worked as an engineer in the water department for 20 years. He also was the owner of Taylor`s 500 Tap, at Kostner Avenue and Harrison Street, from 1950 until the 1970s. He is survived by a son, Robert J.; a daughter, Virginia Heelan; three sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Columbian Chapels, 6621 W. North Ave., Oak Park. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Edward Catholic Church, 4350 W. Sunnyside Ave.
