Ben Arkin, 75, owner of Humboldt Hardware and Supply Co. in Chicago, died Tuesday in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. Mr. Arkin, who lived in Niles, continued ownership of the store that was opened by his father-in-law, Samuel Zwirn, in the early 1920s. Mr. Arkin is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Gary; a daughter, Arlene; a grandchild; and a sister. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Jewish Waldheim Cemetery, 1800 S. Harlem Ave., Forest Park.
