George T. Stanton, 70, a retired painting contractor from North Chicago, died Wednesday in Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Rufus Mitchell Lodge 107. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lyles; two brothers; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church, 2219 14th St., North Chicago. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
