And so our fine Chicago Park District strikes again. First, doubling the parking fee at the planetarium lot from $3.50 to $7 during the Grateful Dead concert. And now, charging $3 for ”attended fee parking” to visit Lincoln Park Zoo or pursue other activities along the public lakefront by Fullerton Avenue and the lagoon. What`s next? Pay turnstiles at the playlots? Perhaps, a fee for viewing the totem pole at Waveland Avenue?
I thought our tax dollars already supported the Park District and the Lincoln Park Zoo. I guess the Park District just can`t get enough public dollars.
