Frank E. Polom, 68, of Glenwood, retired executive director of GATX Corp., a transportation company, died Aug. 11 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Edward; a daughter, Marianne; four grandchildren, and two sisters. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tews Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Highway, Homewood.
