Arthur Lee Rand, 66, a Navy veteran, died Saturday in Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. Born in Birmingham, Ala., he lived in Waukegan. He was retired from the housekeeping department in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in North Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Marian; one daughter, Emma; one son, Cecil Smith; three step-daughters, Dorothy Jackson, Alberta Gregory and Delores Woods; two sisters; three brothers; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday in Christian Valley Baptist Church, 2690 Argonne Drive, North Chicago. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the church.
