James E. Brown, 83, a founder of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a trustee at the college for 16 years, died Monday in his home in Lake Forest. He graduated from Northwestern University and was a retired supervisor of customer service and personnel for Fansteel Inc. in North Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one son, James H.; one daughter, Marie B. High; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest.
