A group including Alphi Fund L.P. and Alphi Investment Management Co. of Deerfield, has acquired 6.8 percent or 120,600 common shares of Advance Ross Corp., a Chicago manufacturer of metal fabrication products. Most recently, the group purchased 70,600 shares between June 29 and Aug. 14 for $9.53 to $10.03 each and holds the stake as an investment, according to a SEC filing.
