Philip M. Schacherer, 72, who worked for several local advertising firms, died Tuesday in Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Mr. Schacherer, who lived in Evanston, got his start in the advertising business in 1946 when he began working for the former Aubrey Moore and Wallace firm. He worked for the Leo Burnett Co. from 1958 to 1970, when he left to work for Bell & Howell. Mr. Schacherer retired in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Marijane; three sons, P. Mark, Stephen and Paul; three daughters, Pamela, Janet Pullen and Julie Newcomb; a brother; and 11 grandchildren. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary`s Church, 1421 Oak Ave., Evanston.
