William Lamar Ostrander, 59, a retired investment manager and Lake Forest resident, died Thursday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was a partner in Graver, Bokhof and Goodwin, an investment management firm in Chicago, and he was a retired senior managing director of the First Boston Corp. in Chicago, where he worked from 1955 until 1990. He received his bachelor`s degree from Kenyon College. Mr. Ostrander is survived by his wife, Mimi; four daughters, Sarah Anders, Whitney Bauer, Amy, and Lindsey Holman; a son, William Holman;

two sisters; a brother; and a grandchild. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster Ave., Lake Forest.
