Joseph P. Kelly, 76, a retired Chicago Fire Department lieutenant and lifelong Brighton Park resident, died Monday in Holy Cross Hospital. Mr. Kelly spent most of his 28-year Fire Department career with Engine Co. 39, 33rd Place and Ashland Avenue. He also was in the Navy, serving in the Pacific theater during World War II. Survivors include three sons, Joseph Jr., Michael and Edward; two daughters, Nancy Ferenzi and Susan McCann; a brother; and 10 grandchildren. Mass was said Friday.
