In the Aug. 9 edition, the Sports section announced that Jack Clark of the Boston Red Sox filed for bankruptcy because of ”expensive hobbies.”

Currently, Jack Clark`s contract with the Red Sox is $8.7 million for three years. While the average American can possibly make 1 percent of Clark`s $3 million salary a year, this sports figure is able to avoid his creditors by filing bankruptcy.

I am an avid sports fan. However, enough is enough. This so-called good example for our children should have to sell his ”expensive hobbies,” which include 18 automobiles, several residences and a drag-racing team, to pay back his outstanding and delinquent debt. The legal system should also garnish his wages until all liabilities are paid in full.
