The Swiss government is moving to rewrite Europe`s oldest divorce law. The 1907 law requires that a judge determine fault in administering a divorce verdict, even when the split is amicable. The proposed changes would permit no-fault dissolutions, as well as the 50-50 division of pension money, not currently awarded to divorcing homemakers. Parliamentary debate on the measure is set to begin next year.
