Composer and Pulitzer Prize-winner Shulamit Ran will host a program celebrating the 10th anniversary of American Women Composers, Midwest chapter, at Ravinia this week.
Works by Ran and Chicago composers Kathleen Ginther, Lita Grier, Rami Levin, Janice Misurell-Mitchell and Charmian Tashjian will be performed.
The chapter was established in 1982 to provide support and performance forums for women composers.
The performance, $15, begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ravinia Festival, Bennett Hall, Green Bay and Lake Cook Roads, Highland Park. Details:
