I think it is absolutely scandalous that James Baker has been moved from secretary of state to White House chief of staff for the explicit purpose of running Bush`s re-election campaign for the Republican Party.
To retain Baker in the federal government at taxpayer expense to serve essentially as Bush`s campaign manager is a terrible waste of public funds and should be illegal. Why no one has yet challenged the ethics and legality of this action is beyond me.
