Mike Auster, 80, co-founder of a produce firm, died Friday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Auster, of the Near North Side, founded the Auster Co., along with his brother Clark, in 1927. He retired from the family-operated business in 1990. He is survived by a son, Mike Auster Jr.; a brother; and two granddaughters. Services were held Sunday.
