Monique Evans, 32, of Riverside, Calif. is 1992 Little League Baseball Mom of the Year, nominated by daughter Denise, 10, in a 40-word essay. ”There are a lot of moms who are involved in this and I think it`s great that they are finally getting some recognition,” says Monique. The competition was an idea of First Lady Barbara Bush, who was a Little League ”chauffeur and cheerleader” while her children were growing up.
