What we should consider is to break up the Chicago school system into about a dozen individual districts.
Take bids from private enterprise to run the schools, fire the school board, fire the teachers and start all over again with a new system incorporating a dress code. Get tough on discipline and insist on more parental responsibility.
I`ll bet we could have educated youngsters, reduce crime and reduce our tax bills by at least 25 percent.
