Although I am 31, much of the turbulent `60s is still part of my history, my conscience and psyche. Walter Borton`s piece, ”In the crucible of Vietnam” (Op-Ed, Sept. 24), brought a tear to my eye and sent a chill down my spine. Both noble and sad, the contradictions facing a generation were eloquently put down on paper by Mr. Borton. For this, I thank him.
