My wife recently received notice of the drastic cut (47 percent) in dividend on her Commonwealth Edison common stock. Thank goodness it is not a major portion of our income, but I am sure there are other retirees who will be adversely affected. This is what happens when a business is regulated by anti-business bureaucrats and affected by the results of idiotic judicial decisions. These decisions will drastically affect the financial health of this company and stifle its possible growth.
If the Chicago area suffers blackouts, reduced power and longer periods than normal when there is loss of service, please put the blame where it belongs.
We are happy that we do not live in Illinois, but in a state where the regulatory agency and the judges seem to have much more business sense and common sense.
