Commonwealth Edison has been and is a good company for northern Illinois. As an owner of 400 shares of Edison stock, I received a $7 rebate on my August electric bill, but I lost $6,540.
The Illinois Commerce Commission is supposed to be fair to three groups of people-the users of electricity, the electric-generating company and the stockholders of that company. They forgot to be fair to stockholders of Edison and there are many retired people holding Edison stock.
