The American Psychiatric Association`s Board of Trustees has reversed its silence on the case of Chicago psychiatrist Dr. Jules Masserman, a former president of the APA accused by several former patients of repeated sexual misconduct and drug abuse. It authorized disclosure of his five-year suspension from the organization, which means he can`t practice any form of psychotherapy, and is considering additional action.
