A second associate judgeship has opened in Lake and McHenry Counties with the resignation of Judge Susan Hutchinson, who sits in McHenry County. Hutchinson resigned effective Dec. 7 because she is seeking election as a full Circuit Court judge.
Chief Judge Charles Scott of the 19th Judicial Circuit said any lawyer licensed to practice in Illinois has until Nov. 8 to apply for the vacancy. Hutchinson`s associate judgeship will be filled by appointment of the elected judges of Lake and McHenry Counties.
Earlier this month, Associate Judge William Homer, announced he is retiring after 18 years.
