If Postmaster General Marvin Runyon really wanted to avoid service cutbacks or a rate increase, maybe he should consider selling stamp sponsorship.

For example, imagine a limited edition commemorative Olympic stamp series sponsored by NIKE. Frankly I wouldn`t mind a ”Sponsored by” NIKE, GM, COKE, etc., in discreetly tiny print at the top or bottom of a stamp, especially if, in these ”tough economic times,” it saved money and prevented service cutbacks and further layoffs.
