On Oct. 26 there was an article on the front page of Chicagoland describing the plight of Ineary Jefferson. She and her husband, Lewis, are caring for 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One of their daughters lost custody of her children because of neglect. A second daughter was raped and killed and the Jeffersons are now caring for her five children. A third daughter abandoned her six children; she is a drug addict.
Doesn`t anyone have a father? Isn`t there a single male who is responsible for any of these children? I am sure that the State of Illinois is picking up a good percentage of their support. We as taxpayers are paying for promiscuity.
I agree the Jeffersons need help, but it is only a temporary solution.
