Thanks to Bob Sakamoto for such a fine, upbeat article (Preps Plus, Nov. 21) about life-long values learned in the world of high school football.

All too often the sports pages are filled with stories of self-centeredness, criticism and less-than-honorable motives. It was a pleasure reading about adults-young and old-moving outside their own worlds to give others a chance to grow and be cared about. The examples of selfless teaching and teamwork were inspiring.

Mr. Sakamoto captured some of the pure beauty of high school sports.
