The 48th Ward Women`s Network, a group of more than 150 businesswomen, has
”adopted” two neighborhood organizations, Miriam Apartments, a women`s single-room-occupancy building, and Sarah`s Circle, a day shelter for homeless women. The adoption will be celebrated at a fundraiser Monday at the Uptown Cafe at Lawrence Avenue and Broadway (for information, call 312-561-3800).
