The Prairie Hill barn/bed-and-breakfast near Princeton, Ill., is open year-round for individuals and as a training facility for riding groups or clubs.
Rates from spring through fall are $50 a night for single occupancy and $70 for double occupancy; for the whole house (six bedrooms), it`s $300 a night, $550 a weekend and $850 a week. Riding clubs are welcome.
In winter, those rates drop to $35 single, $50 double ($200 a night, $350 a weekend and $650 a week for the entire house). Rates include continental breakfast.
Stabling a horse, including cleaning and feed, is $20 a night. Horse rentals, including guide, are $15 for a one- to two-hour ride. Lessons are $25 an hour for jumping, $20 an hour for flat.
