In the interest of news accuracy, I wish to correct a small item published in the Dec. 1 Tribune regarding ferry service at Merrimac, Wis., even though it`s probably the most inconsequential story in today`s news.
The ferry at Merrimac is not ancient. In fact, it`s only 31 years old.
Ferry ”service” may be 147 years old, but the ferry itself is modern, fast and safe, contrary to the image portrayed in your story.
