In response to George Lazarus` column of Dec. 2 regarding a survey about advertisements: I see no contradiction between women disliking ”sexually suggestive” ads yet liking ”sexually oriented” soap operas.

There is a big difference between liking sex and wanting your body used to sell things. And to infer that respondents to this survey reported ”what they think the interviewer would like to hear rather than voicing their feelings” is a good way of dismissing the results of this survey.
