Former Oakland A`s employee Sharon Jones, who has accused Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott of making a racial slur on a telephone conference call with other owners, says she is receiving hate mail from Cincinnati and Dayton.

”There`s been about half a dozen letters,” Jones told the Cincinnati Enquirer. ”They pretty much use the language that Marge Schott used on that call.”

Jones has said that in a 1987 conference call, Schott said: ”I would never hire another nigger. I`d rather have a trained monkey working for me than a nigger.”

Major-league baseball is investigating allegations by Jones and others.
