Hazelden, the Minnesota-based substance abuse treatment center, is offering via 1-800-I-DO-CARE a 12-page brochure on the symptoms and needs of chemically dependent women. The brochure “How to Talk to a Woman Who Has Problems With Alcohol or Other Drugs” describes how women manifest symptoms differently from men, says Patricia Owen, Ph.D., Hazelden’s research director. Hazelden is opening a Chicago office next month.
