Philip Sidote, 73, a retired locomotive engineer for an East Chicago steel company, died Monday in his Chicago home. Mr. Sidote, who spent most of his life in Calumet City before moving to Chicago four years ago, retired from Inland Steel Co. in 1983. He served with the Army in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; two daughters, Judge Nancy Salyers and Linda; a brother; and two grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Woods Church, 7033 N. Moselle Ave.
