I am sorry that your Dec. 29 editorial on President Bush’s Christmas Eve pardons did not address the underlying issue of Iran-contra: the fact that those he pardoned were charged with concealing facts from or lying to Congress over the issue. Can we have a government that we can trust if members of the executive branch are allowed to lie to Congress and then not be held accountable for their behavior? I think not.
