I must compliment Ron Grossman on his well-crafted story about Rev. Charles Kelly’s retirement from St. Daniel the Prophet Church (Tempo, Dec. 29).
Through the story, I feel as though I gained a complete understanding of Kelly’s commitment to the priesthood. What a priest! He learned Spanish to preach to Hispanics, maintained celibacy when so many priests don’t seem able to, and he genuinely cares about the future of the Catholics he has served and the Catholic Church as a whole.
