The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago is the first area hospital with volunteers offering complimentary moisturizer and makeup to patients, and several other hospitals are planning to emulate the program. According to Joy Feldstein, director of volunteer services, the specially trained “Patient Pride” volunteers provide a “healing human touch.”
