Mayor Jerry Greer is defending his decision not to settle a 17-year-old lawsuit against dentist Ralph Madonna.
“I’ll sit on it 16 more years unless the City of Wood Dale benefits from it,” Greer said.
The City Council authorized Greer to settle the suit last year. In the suit, Madonna claims Wood Dale caused drainage problems on his property by allowing development to the north.
