As a graduating senior at Glenbard North High School, I feel the solution in the article “Glenbard sees layoff after talks collapse” solves some of the money problems, but causes student problems.
Cutting extracurricular activities is not the smartest solution. I think many students come to school to join these activities. I also feel incoming freshmen should have all the class choices that have benefited me.
Although I am graduating this year, I feel these budget cuts for the ’93-’94 school year are not the answer. I have heard that Glenbard has saved money for emergency use, and I think education is an emergency.
