Boo, hiss and shame to a majority of the Supreme Court for their recent decision not to allow hearings of new evidence in death row cases! It is a sad day indeed when the rule of law is held above the lives of innocents the law was created to protect. At a time when the majority of Americans are speaking out for change, it is stultifying pronouncements such as these which threaten to keep us down. I wonder, when freedom is the song of the hour, will mediocrity prevail upon the day?
