I am writing in response to the article “Rostenkowski to AARP, prepare for sacrifice.” I am a Social Security “notch baby” 1923. How could Mr. Rostenkowski create a system that discriminates against a certain age group, and deny them the money that is rightfully theirs? First restore our rights and then we’ll talk about sacrifice.
I will be more than happy to help reduce the deficit. I think he and all the other legislators should give up that huge pay raise they gave themselves before he starts asking people to make sacrifices.
