Joseph Levinson, 89, an attorney in Chicago for more than 50 years, died Saturday in his Chicago home. Mr. Levinson was the lawyer for the Illinois Epileptic Society and represented many epileptics trying to keep their jobs. He was a member of the American Jewish Historical Society and the Chicago Jewish Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Celia; three stepchildren, Dr. Richard C. Shapiro, Elizabeth Jane Shapiro and Marianne Bernsen; a sister; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stone Chapel, KAM Isaiah Israel, 5019 Greenwood Ave., Chicago.
