Thomas Hetland dreamed aloud of an educational paradise in Chicago if only parents were given vouchers and allowed to select schools and teachers for their children. Teachers would teach, students would learn, parents would parent and the streets would once again be safe for everyone. We would even save taxpayers dollars in the process! The culprit for all of Chicago’s problems is the public school system.
If you accept Mr. Hetland’s idea, you probably subscribe to the idea that the national debt could be paid off if the government would just print more money. Dream on, Mr. Hetland.
