Irene E. Volini, 67, a resident of Quincy, died Thursday at home. Born in England, she was a registered nurse and served there during the Battle of Britain. She had several brothers, all of whom were killed in the war. After coming to this country in 1955, she lived in Chicago and Jefferson City, Mo. before moving to Quincy in 1989. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Frederick Volini. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday in Queen of All Saints Catholic Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave.
