Thomas J. Berkes, 45, a member of the senior management team at Jewel Food Stores, died Tuesday at his home in West Chicago. Mr. Berkes was a lifelong resident of West Chicago. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and his master’s degree from Loyola University. Survivors include two sisters, Norene Treudt and Patricia Taylor; two nephews; and his fiancee, Joan Harvieux. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, Illinois Highway 59 and Pine Street, West Chicago. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, 164 N. Oakwood St., West Chicago.
