Hazel B. Johnson, 96, died March 6 in Community Convalescent Center in Naperville. Mrs. Johnson was born in Plainfield, Wis. and graduated from Wayland Academy and Stevens Point Teachers College. Her late husband, Wesley, was a former superintendent of the Bensenville school district. Mrs. Johnson is the mother-in-law of U.S. Rep. Harris Fawell (R-Ill.). Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Fawell; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. March 20 in the Bensenville United Methodist Church, 328 S. Church Rd., Bensenville.
