Chicago writer Sandra Frank-Mosenson has won the Best Children’s Book of the Year award from the Writers Foundation of America last month for her poetry, “Earth Day Lessons From the Planet Mars.” Frank-Mosenson, who has been a guest lecturer in Chicago public schools, is the cultural arts producer for Earth Day Chicago.
