Adele M. Sokolow, 65, who was a Jewish educator for the last 50 years, died Wednesday in Highland Park Hospital. Mrs. Sokolow taught at Congregation B’nai Emunah in Skokie for 30 years. In the 1950s, she was principal and a teacher at Ner Tamid Congregation of North Town in Chicago. She was also vice president of the Midwest Central Branch Sisterhood, which educates Jewish women. Mrs. Sokolow was a graduate of Marshall High School, Northwestern University and the College of Jewish Studies. She is survived by a son, Merrit; a daughter, Marim Schwartz; a brother; and two grandchildren. Services were held Thursday.
